Ghast Harvest

In the deepest tunnels of the Badzone, pale spores drift like ghostly embers, clinging to the stone and pooling in stagnant air. This is Ghast - rare, dangerous, and worth a fortune to those desperate or foolish enough to collect it.

Harvesting Ghast

A Standing and Active fighter in base contact with a Ghast Deposit may make a Harvest Ghast (Double) action.

  • Make an Intelligence test for the fighter. If successful, place a Loot marker on their card to represent a bag of unrefined ghast.
    • If the fighter has other friendly fighters within 1", they gain a +2 bonus per assisting fighter to this test
  • After successfully harvesting, roll a D6. On a 6, the ghast deposit is exhausted and removed from the battlefield.
  • If a fighter goes Out of Action, any Loot markers they have are discarded.
  • No fighter may carry more than two bags of unrefined ghast.

When a fighter attempts to harvest ghast (whether successful or not), they must make a Toughness check, ignoring this if they are equipped with a Respirator.

  • If they fail, or if they choose to consume the ghast they are harvesting, roll a D6 on the following table:
D6Result
1–3Oh god, oh god, oh god! – The fighter is immediately activated again, but is controlled by your opponent.
4–5It's like the universe is in my mind! – The fighter becomes a psyker and gains the Non-Sanctioned Psyker special rule for the rest of the battle. They also gain a random Wyrd Power from a random discipline. If they are already a psyker and have a Wyrd Power, this result has no effect.
