Each player should mark out 4 containers that are outside any deployment zone, for a total of 8 marked containers on the table. These should be marked up 1-8
Battle
Valuable ContainersFighters (except Exotic Pets) within 1” of an unlocked container that hasn’t been looted yet may perform a Loot (basic) action.
Loot (basic): Roll 2D6 and consult the table below:
| 2D6 | Result |
|---|---|
| 2 | Uh-Oh… Place a Malstrain Genestealer, Ambot, or other suitable melee brute in base contact with the Fighter. (Both the brute and the fighter are now engaged) They now act in the same manner as a Roaming Horror (Aggressive). |
| 3-5 | Frag Traps, place a 5” template centred over this fighter, any model under the template suffers a S3 D1 hit with Knockback. |
| 6-8 | Decent Gear +1 Victory Point |
| 9+ | Motherlode! +D3 Victory Points |
All containers start the game locked and cannot be looted. At the start of each round before rolling for priority, randomly select 1 container, that container becomes unlocked.
Spyre Hunter ObjectiveSpyre Hunting Parties always have this alternative objective: they must eliminate the enemy gang before 3 of the containers have been looted.
Third Player Modifier
Another gang has gotten in between the two warring factions. They must attempt to finish trapping the containers in the area, making a hasty retreat before the real shooting starts.
If a third player joins the battle, the following modifications are made:
- Modify the first two players’ crew size to Custom (7)
- The third player has a crew size of Custom (5)
- The third player deploys their entire gang after all other fighters (except Infiltrators)
- All fighters must be within 3" of the centre line
The third player has an alternative objective: at least 3 containers must either contain a frag trap or worse when an opposing gang opens them.
The third players Fighters cannot attempt to open a container
You may improve the chances of this happening in the following manner:
Fighters (except pets) within 1” of a locked container may perform a Tamper (double) action.
Tamper (double): If this container is opened apply a -X modifier equal to the amount of times this container has been tampered with.
Fleeing the battle: Fighters may leave the battlefield during the End Phase if they are within 1" of a looted container's door.
Ending the Battle
The game ends when one or more of the following conditions are met during the End Phase:
- There is only one gang remaining on the battlefield
- There are no unlooted containers remaining
Victory
The gang with the most VPs is the winner. (Unless their opponent is a Spyre Hunting Gang)
If 3 or more containers contained a frag trap or worse, the third player is also a winner.
Tabled ConditionOnly if no Spyre Objective in play
If only one gang remains on the battlefield, they earn 1 VP per unlocked and unlooted container.
