Gang Variants
In the Underhive, no two gangs are the same, each one comes with their own allegiances, history, culture, and secrets.
Using this module, gangs can be modified to better suit their place in the world, each variant comes with its own favour table and rules.
List of Gang Variants
When creating your gang, you may pick one of the below variants.
House Gangs
Complexity: Vanilla
This is a traditional house gang, you’ll get the full support of your house/patron. Pick this one if you don’t want any of this homebrew rubbish.
Gangs of Renown
Complexity: Low
Want to play a gang with a dramatis personae leading/supporting it? This is the gang for you, otherwise it’s just the same as a House Gang.
Delegation Gangs
Complexity: Very High
Delegation gangs are closely tied into a noble house, merchant guild, or criminal organisation. These gangs are more complex to run as your alliance will provide benefits, but expect things in return.
Crusading Gangs
Complexity: Medium-High
Crusading gangs are a gang that is on a holy crusade. Your gang will have a saint which will provide benefits as long as you keep it kosher. These are the same as the ones in the Vaults of Temenos but brought in line with the other variants.
Infected Gangs
Complexity: Medium
Infected Gangs are gangs that have become infected with the Genestealer Virus.
Corrupted Gangs
Complexity: High
Corrupted Gangs have pledged their allegiance to the ruinous powers of chaos. Choose a Patron God and gain access to cultists and a special favour table.
Malstrain Gangs
Complexity: Medium
Malstrain Gangs have been corrupted by the malstrain variant of the Genestealer virus
Incursion Gangs
Complexity: Low
Incursion Gangs are led by a Spyre hunter.
